Organizational Model Law D. 231/01 and Code of Ethics
IMESA has decided to adopt an Organization, Management and Control Model pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/01* and to comply with a Code of Ethics; in particular, to affirm its commitment to the active prevention of crimes, it has adopted:
- An “Organization, management and control model pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/01”, which defines guidelines for a suitable corporate control system, general principles and specific controls aimed at preventing potential crimes, to which held by the company subjects, especially the top management;
- An “Ethical Code”, which sets out the general ethical principles, the reference values or the rules of conduct towards the main stakeholders to which all company subjects must comply, whether they are employees, collaborators in various capacities or Directors.
*Legislative Decree 231/2001 regulates the administrative responsibility of companies for offenses committed by top managers or by employees or collaborators in the interest or for the benefit of the company itself.
Supervisory Board
As required by Legislative Decree 231, the company has set up a special Supervisory Body that has the task of verifying compliance with the Organizational Model and reporting to the Board of Directors all the information regarding updates and / or changes as well as any situations of non-compliance with the provisions of Model itself, by the Code of Ethics and by the relevant legislation.

SA 8000
IMESA, to give greater evidence of respect for ethical and social principles, has decided to promote Social Responsibility and adhere to the principles of the international standard SA8000 which presents itself as a system for the protection of workers’ rights. IMESA undertakes to respect and apply the 9 requirements set out in the SA8000 Standard.
