IMESA acquires EASY 2000 and launches its growth plan targeting €100 million in revenues by 2030

With the first M&A transaction under its strategic plan, the Marche-based electrical switchboard manufacturer enters the ATEX/IECEx and UL/CSA certification markets and strengthens its position in the offshore, oil & gas and North American markets. Investment planned to triple the production capacity of the acquired company.

  • Acquisition of 100% of EASY 2000 Srl — 21 employees, approximately €3 million in revenues — with closing expected on 30 September 2026
  • First step in a planned acquisition cycle under IMESA’s strategic plan, aimed at increasing revenues from the current approximately €40 million to €100 million by 2030
  • Entry into ATEX/IECEx and UL/CSA certified switchboards, opening access to offshore and oil & gas segments and to the US and Canadian markets
  • Investment already planned to triple the production capacity of the acquired company
  • Alfredo Raffagnato will remain at the helm of EASY 2000 as Chief Executive Officer

IMESA S.p.A., a company of the Schiavoni Group and one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of medium- and low-voltage electrical switchboards, has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of EASY 2000 Srl, a company specialising in automation switchboards and ATEX/IECEx and UL/CSA certified switchboards. Closing is expected on 30 September 2026. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The acquisition represents the first transaction in a series of operations planned under the Group’s strategic plan, which aims to increase revenues from the current €40 million to €100 million by 2030, in line with the long-term vision shared by shareholders and management.

What EASY 2000 brings

Modifica la traduzione in IT

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Faloppio (Como), EASY 2000 has 21 employees and approximately €3 million in revenues. The company designs and manufactures electrical switchboards for machinery and industrial plants, covering power distribution, command and control systems, with electromechanical, PLC and PC-based control systems. Each switchboard undergoes factory testing through procedures that simulate the plant’s operating logic, significantly reducing commissioning times in the field.

The company’s distinctive asset lies in its certifications: EN-IEC, ATEX — including pressurised versions — IECEx, UL for the US market and CSA for the Canadian market. These qualifications require years to obtain and maintain and represent a significant barrier to entry in explosion-risk sectors — such as chemical plants, offshore facilities and oil & gas — as well as in North American markets.

Industrial rationale

Through this transaction, IMESA complements its existing offering of power switchboards and supervision systems with the capability to manufacture certified automation switchboards. The stated objective is to return to a leading position in Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Power Management Systems (PMS), combining hardware capabilities with software expertise already available within the company.

For EASY 2000’s customers, joining the IMESA Group means gaining access to IMESA’s commercial and service network, as well as to an industrial structure employing approximately 150 people and with a production capacity of 3,000 panels per year.

Management comments

“This is the first step in a cycle of acquisitions included in our strategic plan to reach €100 million in revenues by 2030. EASY 2000’s portfolio strengthens our offering in PLC and SCADA control panels and provides us with the ATEX and IECEx solutions we needed for the offshore and oil & gas sectors. IMESA aims to become once again a reference player in EMS and PMS: we were already equipped with the software capabilities, and we now also have the ability to manufacture the system hardware.”

Marco Achilli, CEO of IMESA

The transaction follows a strategic path defined jointly by shareholders and management, who share the same objectives and implementation timeline.

“This represents a new and important chapter for our company and our people. EASY 2000 was built on extensive experience in the design of automation, ATEX/IECEx and UL/CSA certified switchboards, and we are proud of the expertise we have developed over the years. Joining the IMESA Group will allow us to grow and access new market segments: an investment has already been planned to triple our production capacity.”

Alfredo Raffagnato, Sole Director of EASY 2000 and future Chief Executive Officer of the company

Transaction advisors

IMESA was assisted by Studio Pomara Scibetta of Milan, which handled the accounting and tax due diligence, and by Studio Benfatto of Padua for employment law due diligence. The legal aspects of the transaction were managed by attorney Federico Brighenti.

EASY 2000 Srl was assisted by attorney Giuseppe Bellini, who acted as transaction advisor and legal counsel, and by Studio Giussani for tax matters.
