Michela Campanelli: Hi Luca, how long have you been working at Imesa?
Luca: I was hired in November 2023, so not for a very long time, but I can tell you that I felt comfortable right away.
Michela Campanelli: How did you choose Imesa?
Luca: I was employed by another company in Monte Roberto, near Jesi and I was at a crossroads, my contract was expiring so I looked around. I was looking for a growth opportunity, in a bigger company than the one I was in. I did a search and found the application request on Linkedin and decided to give it a try. Now I can say that I am happy, I didn’t change my job, but only the sector.
Michela Campanelli: How would you describe your work environment?
Luca: The work environment is stimulating, I have the opportunity to communicate with multiple people from different offices. By dealing with prevention and safety at work, I have the opportunity to deal with different but very interesting topics and this makes my work dynamic and engaging. In addition, I also have to constantly keep myself updated, so I never get bored actually.
Michela Campanelli: You talked about keeping yourself updated, do you foresee an individual growth plan in Imesa?
Luca: Today I am part of the QHSE department, I was chosen to be part of the ESG committee, and I manage the construction site documentation for service activities. So I am quiete busy at the moment, but I obviously still have a lot to learn, and I trust that Imesa will dedicate a training plan to me to be able to further increase my skills in the future. Going forward I would also like to try other sectors in the company, being young, I would like to be able to go abroad for service activities in the field of testing.
Michela Campanelli: What are the company’s strengths in light of the recent initiatives implemented?
Luca: The vision of the CEO is already a strong point, because he comes from other more structured realities, he has a very vast and wealth of experience. I really appreciated the introduction of flexitime and welfare. But the real strength, in my opinion, is that Imesa is a historic company in the Marche region, made up of people who have worked in this company for many years and who determine its identity.
Michela Campanelli: Is there anything you would like to see improved further?
Luca: Yes, I noticed that in some departments there is still a lack of a collective vision of the goals to be achieved, in the sense that we should all try to go in the same direction. I’m talking in particular about my subject: safety. Regarding this topic, we have joined a BBS project which will allow us to improve unsafe behavior to reach the 0 accident objective. It is undeniable that in this period of many changes, the company turnover has been heavy but I am optimistic so I believe that our performances will benefit of the inclusion of new talents.
Michela Campanelli: Thank you Luca, I wish you a good job!
