IMESA is investing to boost the production of the so-called “Shore Connection” in the naval sector to meet the ever-increasing need of port cities to reduce pollution thresholds.
The partnership with the largest European shipyards is being strengthened: Fincantieri, Vard and Wartsila.
IMESA consolidates its business relationship with Fincantieri for the supply of medium voltage electrical switchboards for the fleet of the shipping company Viking Ocean Cruises, winning the thirteenth contract!
At the end of the year Imesa signs a framework agreement with ENEL for the supply of medium voltage electrical panels with SF6 free technology for secondary substations. Even more a source of pride because all the solutions have Carbon Footprint certification, guaranteeing the ecological performance of our products.
Imesa again alongside Fincantieri for the new FREMM frigates of the Italian Navy. A very successful project, which Imesa has followed by providing the electrical switchboards for the first ship launched in 2011 until today, which is the twelfth. The supply for each of the Fremm class frigates consists of two main medium voltage and two low voltage switchboards, with a shore connection system that allows the ship to connect to the shore electricity grid.
Imesa supplies the main medium and low voltage electrical switchgears to Renco SpA, a leading company in engineering, construction and facility management in the energy, oil & gas and civil infrastructure sectors, which are intended for the compressor station of the Baltic Pipe Project, new European corridor for the supply of gas from Norway to the Danish and Polish markets.
The company Sbm Off shore BV, world leader in the oil & gas sector, has once again chosen Imesa to power its third floating refinery intended for the treatment of crude oil off the coast of French Guiana. After Liza Destiny and Liza Unity FPSOs, Imesa wins the supply of the main medium voltage switchgear of the third FPSO: Liza Prosperity
Imesa wins a contract for the supply of medium and low voltage electrical switchgears that will power the Saipem 7000, the semi submersible crane vessel, for a value of Euro 5,000,000. The order also includes the part of the installation and commissioning activities carried out at the Dutch shipyard Damen Verolme.
Imesa signs an important new collaboration with the Croatian shipyard Uljanik for the electrical panels of the latest jewel of the Australian shipowner Scenic Cruises, the Polar Cruise Vessel “Eclipse”. The order, worth over half a million euros, includes five panels: two main, two auxiliary and one emergency; the contract also includes the option for a second sister ship.

Imesa wins a contract of € 7,000,000.00 with Petrofac, a company specialized in providing services to the oil industry for the supply of 33 Medium Voltage Electrical panels.
IMESA awards a Framework contract for a value of Euro 4.183.000,00 related to make changes of electrical panels for interfacing with PMS system for the Val d’Agri oil center facility that will keep committed until the end 2016.
Imesa Wins Contract from Weatherford, an American company, for the construction of 11 containerized substations for a total value of 28.6 million of $ for a project in Iraq.
Imesa celebrates the anniversary of its first 40 years in business. In the same year it acquires the supply of electrical panels for the school ship of the Italian Navy, the Amerigo Vespucci.
