Michela: Hi Daniele, how long have you been working at Imesa?
Daniele: I joined Imesa in June 2023 in the SF6 department as a cabler, where I settled in straight away, I immediately noticed that the working conditions are very good compared to where I used to work before. It is clear that the company has invested in the factory, equipping it with air conditioning and operational spaces suitable to facilitate the operator. Then in October, after a few months, I learned that they were looking for an electrical designer, I applied again via the site, but they also needed a proposal for the sales office and here I am now.
Michela: How did you choose Imesa, did you already know it?
Daniele: I knew it through hearsay, as my previous owners worked for many years in Imesa before setting up their own company, producing low voltage switchboards. In the company where I previously worked, I first started my career in the workshop, and then I was dedicated to service activities on board ships which allowed me to travel and work at shipyards such as Fincantieri and Snam Rete Gas, for which I was always away from home . My needs then changed, I wanted to be able to go back to work close to home, so I sent my application using the form on the Imesa website and today I can say that it went well for me.
Michela: Why this choice of wanting to change jobs and be able to become an office employee?
Daniele: I am a curious and ambitious person, I wanted to challenge myself with completely new activities, despite already having some experience in the sector. And I really appreciated that the new CEO gave me this opportunity, after the necessary interviews.
Michela: How were you welcomed by your new office colleagues?
Daniele: I found a welcoming environment, I felt part of the team from the first days! If I may say, perhaps the only thing I missed a bit was a period of coaching, I had to find all the information on my own, constantly disturbing the guys in the various offices, although all my colleagues were very helpful.
Michela: Are you confident that the company will implement a training plan to help you grow further?
Daniele: Yes, I am proof of this! Being young, I believe I can still increase my knowledge and I perceive the company’s willingness to invest in the training of collaborators.
Michela: So do you think that “job rotation” is a winning strategy?
Daniele: Absolutely yes, I believe it is important to face new challenges and compete with others who can teach you new things, this facilitates my individual and professional growth but at the same time, it is a benefit for the company which can count on a satisfied workforce.
Michela Campanelli: Thank you for your availability and for sharing your experience with us.
